Justyna Orłowska
Ph.D. in sociology with specialization in the anthropology of climate change from the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS). Member of the Advisory Board of PAS President on Climate Crisis. Co-creator of the concept of the Southeast Asian Coal Regions Platform commissioned by the Energy Transition Partnership (UNOPS).
In 2018–2020, advisor to the COP24 President, on just transition and climate negotiator (adaptation and loss&demage). At the same time, climate migration consultant for the UN Norwegian Refugee Center. A long-time climate change researcher in Maldives, including projects for UNICEF and UNEP Grid-Arendal. In the years 2020-2022 acting Head of the Department of Socio-Economic Effects of Climate Change at the National Climate Change Center. Currently, ETS expert at the Polish Green Network Association.
Alicja Piekarz
Sociologist interested in social issues that directly affect the everyday life of each of us. Working specifically on energy transition and climate change-related issues since 2019. Before she has been working in PR focusing on constriuction sector. It helps her in the current expertise with issues related to ESR. She has special interest the reduction of emissions from buildings and energy efficiency.
She likes working in a team, values the complementarity of skills - she has diverse professional experience, including: at work in business and public institutions. Her background in PR allows her to efficiently reach the most introverted respondents and present the results in an attractive way.
